Pam Strayer of Wine Business highlights Revino’s innovative push to transform the wine industry with reusable bottles. By tapping into Oregon's enthusiasm for eco-conscious lifestyles and business practices and the wine industry's drive to reduce carbon emissions, Revino is partnering with over 60 wineries for bottlings this year, including major players like Willamette Valley Vineyards (1,500 cases) and smaller producers such as Cameron Winery.

Revino’s standardized 750 ML bottles, developed with input from over 75 wineries, can be reused up to 50 times, cutting carbon emissions by up to 85% compared to single-use bottles. This eco-friendly approach not only reduces waste but also attracts environmentally conscious consumers, boosting foot traffic for participating wineries.

Strayer reports on Revino's plans to open a bottle-washing facility in Portland, which will be conveniently located near several craft wineries and the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC).

Revino's reusable bottle program draws inspiration from successful models in Austria, South Africa, and Ontario. As the company plans future expansion to other markets in the nation, it also looks toward expanding its offerings and will introduce Bordeaux bottles and screw cap options by 2025.

As more wineries acknowledge the environmental impact of single-use glass, Revino’s reusable bottles are set to drive a major shift towards sustainable wine production.
