Revino Wins $20,000 in Local Shark Tank Competition
At a recent Shark Tank-style event hosted by SEDCOR at Chemeketa Community College, Oregon-based company Revino, along with Stiira, emerged as a winner, securing $20,000 in convertible-note investments. Revino, a Newberg-based reusable wine bottle supplier, plans to use the funds to develop its bottle washing facility. Co-founders Keenan O'Hern and Adam Rack have built a business around increasing sustainable glass use in the wine industry by creating a system where wineries can return used bottles for cleaning and reuse. The company already partners with 36 wineries, with bottles capable of being reused up to 50 times, reducing waste and promoting circularity.
Expanding the Circular Glass Ecosystem
The event, part of SEDCOR’s Launch Mid-Valley initiative, brought together local entrepreneurs and investors to evaluate small businesses making strides in their industries. For Revino, the win not only provided critical funding but also allowed the company to network with other regional businesses and stakeholders. O'Hern emphasized that Revino’s role as a network facilitator helps close the gap in glass reuse by providing a key service to the wine industry. This competition was yet another step forward in Revino’s mission to create a robust circular economy for glass bottles across Oregon's wine region.
